Hello! My name is Jenn, I am a 30-something from the mid-western United States. I am a Public Servant, mom to a small human, and dog mom to a Rottweiler, two Australian Cattle Dogs.

I enjoy camping, hiking and pretty much anything that involves the outdoors. I also enjoy attempting various “do it yourself” projects, photography, writing and living my life.

This is my third, and hopefully final attempt to start a blog. Over the years I have struggled to decide on a particular niche.  I don’t think that I really need one.  I’ve also overcome a lot in the past few years and have come out from under my rock to live again.

I am an open book. I am not afraid to lay it all out there and share my experience. I tend to over share. I might talk about bowel movements and pimples. I am going to discuss my personal life.

I tend to reflect a lot. Sometimes I use foul language. I admit that I have a strange and often demented sense of humor.  I decided to start this blog to chronicle my adventures in home improvement and my journey through life.

I hope that you’ll follow along!

Having a focus for a blog is considered a good thing but I chose not to. I wanted to make mine about things I felt strongly about – and they’re diverse enough that I’ve been told I seem to encompass contradiction. It doesn’t feel that way to me, it feels seamless, which is why I claim to be “Blending the fine elements of life… ”

    Good luck with your effort!

Hello! Thank you for stopping in! I have been reading your blog off and on since yesterday. It’s awesome. I am glad that you followed me back.

I think the biggest thing about my former blog is that it was supposed to be centered around the outdoors, hiking etc, and then life happened and I didn’t get to go on as many adventures, or I wasn’t able to write and post about them in a timely manner. Also, I have other interests too that sort of took over the blog AND the title didn’t fit.

So. I think I like this one better. I can talk about everything and do whatever I want without feeling like I have to stick to a particular niche ( which you are pulling off famously, by the way!

It’s more about me and my life. I have a lot of opinions also and I already feel more free to express that here rather than people expecting my entries to be specifically about one thing. I enjoy meeting people and reading about their lives.
